Charlotte (or Lotty) loves storytelling and the way it moves, excites and engages, connecting people and places with history. London is a two thousand year old history book jam packed full of tales. Charlotte particularly enjoys championing the voices of people that are often overlooked - women's, black and LGBT history. Charlotte trained as an actor and has performed on stage and screen and some of her favourite roles was playing a Shakespeare role, in one of London's original playhouse theatre on Bankside, The Rose Theatre. Charlotte has a young family of two boisterous boys, so she knows the demands of site sightseeing with children.
Charlotte was wonderful! She engaged the kids and made it interesting for all ages. We had a bit of a timeframe issue and Charlotte made sure that we kept to our time schedule. She was very informative and knowledgeable. You can tell that Charlotte loves what she does.! Five stars, thumbs up Thank you, Charlotte for giving us a wonderful morning!
Charlotte was amazingly knowledgeable about the history of the Tower of London specifically but also the history and contemporary areas of interest in London. She is fabulous as a story teller and narrator and kept both our boys (11 and 13) engaged and interested throughout the tour. I would highly recommend Context and specifically Charlotte for her amiable style, vast knowledge, adaptability to her customer needs and interests and top notch know ledge about the history of London and England (not just about the Tower).
Charlotte is a wonderful guide. She instantly connected with us, especially our 15-year-old granddaughter. Charlotte adapted the tour based on our other planned tours so we wouldn’t repeating. Took us up to the new Sky Garden, which was brilliant. Somehow she timed our stop at Parliament with Big Ben chiming 12. Just magic. Or granddaughter got a great orientation to London and we enjoyed sharing that. It was a rainy, but pleasant and worthwhile morning. Highly recommend.
