Our docent happily answered my husband's innumerable questions and made sure we saw everything we wanted to. My husband loves all the war stuff so I knew that would be his favorite but he mentioned frequently how much he enjoyed this tour as well. The Tower would have been quite overwhelming on our own.
See above. I was referred to your company by a colleague who has used your services many times in many different countries. I can only imagine that our experience was not typical of your usual attentive services.
Our docent was on time and very friendly - she had good knowledge of the location and a solid grasp of the facts of the times. However, to be honest we were disappointed. We paid for a private tour, I was very clear in the notes that my husband and I were history lovers and were really interested in maximizing our time on location since we were not likely to go back. Our guide, while perfectly lovely was not a history buff having only "gotten into history recently." She asked us for our advice on where we wanted to go on the site and in our three hour tour, despite fairly light attendance, did not finish because we ran out of time - a reflection of what we believe was a lack of a solid plan for approaching the tour. I don't want to be too negative since our guide was truly lovely and we picked up a lot of information and enjoyed our time together it was just not what we expected given the notes that guides were supposed to be really experienced. The audio tours we used elsewhere (for free) were as good.
