Great guide
Our tour with Liz was great; it was one of the best tours we have ever been on. Her background as an architect and her knowledge of history were perfect for this tour. It was a fun experience. Our experience with the staff of Context Travel was a different matter. We learned 2 days before our tour that our meeting point was the same area as the start and finish of the Rome marathon. The Rome marathon is a huge event. Context Travel did not disclose this important fact. Based on that information, we politely requested that our tour be moved to another day. We were not canceling the tour, but did not want to encounter the chaos in the area of the marathon. No less than four representatives of Context refused our request. So we had to figure out an alternate route to the meeting place because of the marathon. It turns out that we were the only people on the tour. Liz told us that she could’ve done the tour for us in the afternoon, after the marathon was finished. So BEWARE of signing up with this tour company.
