Austria Private and Small Group Walking Tours

Carolin was full of knowledge. It was by far one of the best tours I have ever taken. We covered so much from the history of Austria , and Europe to the scenes from the Sound of Music. With her archive of pictures from the movie, we were able to see exactly which part of the movie the scene was from. Additionally, with her knowledge of Latin and word meanings she was able to correlate historical sites and how they received the names they did. I would come back to Salzburg and take this tour from her again in the summer!

David is an exceptional guide who explained not only the what but the why. His depth of knowledge and contagious passion was remarkable. A truly great experience.

The walk was excellent, 5 out of 5. (The rating widget above doesn't seem to be working) Very much enjoyed to museum and learned a great deal about an artistic period I didn't know much about. The docent we'd rate at 3 out of 5. She was professional and knowledgeable, but all four of our party felt she was a bit disengaged - almost as if she was punching the clock. May have just been an off day for her. However, I must say this: The couple traveling with us (with decades of international travel experience without being aware of Context Travel) were very impressed with our Schonbrunn tour docent, but after our Kunsthistorisches tour the first thing they asked was if we got to rate the guide because they weren't impressed
